Using CREEP by RADIOHEAD I use the concept of applying a scale in 6ths i.e
I apply it over the CREEP chord sequence.
This leson file actually demonstrated the Harmonic minor AND Harmonic Major scale.
For the chords:
Harmonic Major is the same is Harmonic minor except it has a Major 3rd rather than a minor 3rd.

Having created a Scale Shape using the 3 Notes per String Concept, the idea is to then find chords that are 'in the area'. I have chosen Csus2 and Dsus2.
Next up, see what ideas you can come up with. It's a great way of forcing you to learn the notes around a chord, and see what you have to do to play them. That generates ideas
Quick example of creating a 4th lick 'horizontally'.
We can play very boxed in at times, fingers close together and comfortable.
This opens up your hand and forces out different shapes, and therefore different licks and ideas.
Great opening riff, very reminiscent of James Bond.
